The British University in Dubai (BUiD) was established in 2003 by Ruler’s Decree of the Emirate of Dubai, as the region’s first, research-based, postgraduate university. BUiD offers a unique not-for-profit brand of higher education with high standards for study and research designed to contribute to the technological innovation and socio-economic development of the Arab world and beyond. BUiD was established to facilitate access in the Middle East to a British-style of world class education, training and research. At BUiD’s first anniversary celebrations His Excellency, Richard Makepeace, then British Ambassador to the UAE commented that BUiD was one of the most exciting developments in UAE-UK relations we have seen for many years. Required Documents for Admission

Degree certificates and transcripts in any language other than English should be accompanied by legally translated copies.

For UAE federal institutions (ie The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Higher Colleges of Technology (HCTs) and Zayed University (ZU)) applicants must provide the following:

• Original degree certificate
• Original Transcript
• Original IELTS/TOEFL test report form
• Professional teaching experience certificate from
• Employer for minimum 2 years experience (MEd applicants only)

For other UAE institutions which have been licensed by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (visit Commission for Academic Accreditation website for the full list of licensed institutions) applicants must provide the following:

• Original degree certificate attested by UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHE), Abu Dhabi
• Original transcript
• Original IELTS/TOEFL test report form
• Professional teaching experience certificate from employer for minimum 2 years experience (MEd applicants only)

TUITION AND FEES

A non-refundable advance payment of AED 10,000 is required at the time of enrollment to reserve a place on the Doctorate programme. This payment will be adjusted against the annual fee installment for the first year.

Note: Post-dated cheques for annual installment to be submitted before registration dated either 1st or 15th of each month.
The first payment is to be made during registration and the semester fees are to be made in the first week of each semester.

A non-refundable advance payment of AED 10,000 is required at the time of enrollment to reserve a place on the Masters program. This payment will be adjusted against the tuition fee for the modules in the first term.
