The American Hospital Dubai is an acute care, general medical/surgical hospital whose mission is to provide high quality American standard healthcare that meets the needs and exceeds the expectations of the people of Dubai, the UAE and the surrounding Gulf States. The AHD was therefore planned, designed, built and equipped to meet American standards of healthcare. We operate to these standards, every day, in everything we do.
All of the physicians who are credentialed at the hospital are North American Board Certified or of equivalent Western training programs, such as those in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. We have ensured that we have the expertise to fulfill our patients’ medical requirements in comfortable and reassuring surroundings.
The hospital was the first private institution in the Middle East to be accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) which ensures our continued commitment to the highest quality American standard of healthcare in the region. In 2012 the hospital was reaccredited by the JCI for the fifth time.
The hospital’s Medical Laboratory was also the first private laboratory in the Middle East to be accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and has been reaccredited five times subsequently,

The Clinic is strategically located in Dubai Media City
It offers the same quality of care and standards for all members of the family through a dedicated team from the American Hospital Dubai, which has served local and regional patients from its main campus since opening in 1996.
American Hospital Clinics at Dubai Media City Clinic offers close and convenient access to high quality primary care, with only board certified specialists for patients in the nearby residential areas and business free zones, as well as access to the American Hospital Dubai’s full range of specialty services and diagnostics at the main hospital campus. Electronic Medical Records will be shared between the clinic and the Hospital, for ease and speed of information sharing.
The American Hospital’s new Dubai Media City Clinic is based on the ground floor of the Business Central Towers, close to Sheikh Zayed Road, offering a range of primary care services for all members of the family. It includes Pediatrics, with Obstetrics and Gynecology coming soon. The 15,300 square foot clinic has a dedicated physician team supported by an on-site nursing team and support staff.
